Finals of the Shrihari Group women’s T-15 Challenge 2022- sponsored by Hari Enterprise and Hari Builders was played between Vijay Warriors and Roaring Lions on Saturday 24 Sept 2022 at perseverance playing field from 12.30 pm onwards. Winning the toss, captain of Vijay warriors Vanita Patel opted to bat first. Vijay Warriors scored a total of 62 runs in their allotted 15 overs losing 4 wickets. Top scorers for Vijay Warriors were Shamara (11) and Tejasvi (10). In the run chase, Etee Rao scored a solid 19 runs partnering with Manisha Kanbi who scored 20 runs securing a win for Roaring Lions in just 9.5 overs.

This Final was followed by the award ceremony. Members of the Seychelles Cricket Associations, the sponsor of the Tournament Mr. Harish Patel (Hari Builders), past chairmen of the association Mr. Ramesh Venkateswaralu and Mr. Ayub Chaka were present at the ceremony. Trophies were given to the winners, the runners up and the top performers of the tournament.

During his speech, the chairman of SCA Mr. Kaushal Patel congratulated all the ladies who actively participated in this tournament despite their busy schedules and responsibilities on Saturdays. He thanked the women’s cricket facilitators, the tournament directors and the umpires for successfully conducting the tournament. He also mentioned that a women’s league tournament will be organised where all the teams will play against each other. This will improve the quality of cricket among the players. He further mentioned that a Seychelles women’s team will be participating in the international tournaments in the near future which would be a great achievement for Seychelles cricket.
